Martin Lee talks with Cannabis Nation Radio about his recent visit to the Seattle HempFest, as well as Project CBD which he co-founded, and his book "Smoke Signals - A Social History of Marijuana - Medical, Recreational, Scientific."
Lee is also the Co-Author of "Acid Dreams: The CIA, LSD and the Sixties Rebellion," which covered LSD's use by the counterculture of the 1960's, and the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency in Mind Control.
"Unreliable Sources: A Guide to Detecting Bias in News Media" is another book co-authored by Lee, as well as the book "The Beast Reawakens - An In Depth Examination of the Resurgence of Facism."
In 1994 Lee was given the "Pope Foundation" Award for Investigative Journalism. Lee was a co-founder of the media watch group Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR), a group formed in 1986 to combat corporate and establishment media bias. He was the first full-time editor of Fair's magazine Extra! and later served as the publication's publisher.
